As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB)– IMOS Technology team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted -leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives
 

Job responsibilities

Executes standard software solution, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDesigns, develops, writes secure and high-quality code including unit, integration testing while contributing to quality improvement through code reviews, adherence to code/architecture standards, and promoting code reuseApplies technical troubleshooting to breakdown solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity with consideration of upstream and downstream systemsGathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureGuide and support junior team members
 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Minimum of 8 years applied experience as Java Software EngineerBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent  Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using Java, Junit, Maven, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Spring JPA ,kafka with hands on SQL writing experience on RDBMS like oracle Experience with test driven development and  agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, recovery strategies and SecurityOpenness for acquiring new skills and learning new technologies in short time span
 Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsHands on experience of Amazon Web Services or other cloud technologiesExperience in banking domainMentoring team members
