Primary Function Responsibilities Hands-on laboratory work in a variety of different science / engineering labs Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems. Copper brazing. Model making, including use of a lathe and mill Building units for testing at multiple facilities Uses verbal and written instructions, drawings, diagrams, and schematics to accomplish tasks. Follows specified methods to inspect and test equipment Demonstrates complete technical understanding of all lab test set ups and procedures. Works with engineers to develop protocols and schedules for testings Reviews and interprets test data for engineer review Collecting and analyzing data Generating reports Provides safety leadership in the lab Works independendently to run efficiency testing, agency safety, or performance testing processes Creates standard operating procedures for completing standard lab tests Independently runs analytical instrumentation Limited project management that is engineer led Other duties may be assigned as needed Keeps abreast of competitor and new product activity Role Specific Responsibilities Qualifications Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering. Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred. 5+ years of related work experience with degree or 7+ years without Associate Degree.

Communicates technical material effectively both written and orally. Good general problem solving skills Provien history of effective mentoring and developing other technicians or interns/co-ops. Knowledge of CAE software such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView Effective use of Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, etc.) Model Shop experience Education Associate Degree in Related FieldHigh School Diploma or GEDYears of Experience Minimum of 5 years related work experienceWe Offer
