This position delivers detailed lab testing and analytical work to support product and system design, project troubleshooting and performance analysis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Performing pilot testing on drilling and completion fluids on proposed mud program recipes and actual field mud and/or brine samples, when required.
· Performing QA/QC on products as required.
· Repairing, maintaining and calibrating site testing equipment. Plan new equipment purchase as required.
· Analysing corrosion coupons recovered from the field and provide the corrosion technical report.
· Running core flow tests to evaluate and select optimum mud cake breaker formulation.
· Running PPA/PPT (permeability Plugging Apparatus/Test), laser PSD (Particle Size Distribution) analyser to evaluate and designing RDF (Reservoir Drill-In fluids) and Low invasion Coring Fluids
· Monitoring and maintaining safe stock level of al lab consumables and spare parts for smooth operations.
· Providing support to incident investigations and RCA.
· Ensuring that laboratory and lab equipment are maintained and organized.
· Providing mentorship and supervision to DCF Lab operations as required.
· Collaborating with remote teams to share technical knowledge, theories, and actions to provide prompt and successful resolution to inquiries and issues.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum/Mechanical EngineeringHave a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a Drilling Fluids Lab as a Lab Technician or Technical Support Engineer. 10 years of experience is desirable.Have previous experience in oil base fluids and water base fluids Have experience in drilling fluids design, applications, and performance.Be Technically competent to run all Drilling Fluids API related SpecsBe independent working in the lab and have Excellent Planning, interpersonal and influencing skills.Have excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Have the ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, training, etc.)Work in a way that works for you
