Senior Laboratory Assistant

Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures.  Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Required Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED. Coursework/Training Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program. upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification. Or upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior phlebotomy experience.
