This individual will perform routine soils laboratory testing at the request of the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager. The possibility of data reduction and boring log preparation exists for those with computer skills and the aptitude for data reduction.Job Responsibilities:Performs soil, aggregate, and asphalt testing such as Atterberg limits, moisture content, grain size analysis, unconfined compressive strength tests, and Marshall PropertiesMaintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat orderAssists in logging, storage, and disposal of soil samplesPerforms other duties as requestedQualifications:High School Diploma4+ years in a laboratory setting requiredGood oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilitiesAbility to effectively use computersAbility to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experienceKnowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniquesRequired to stand for long periods of timeWho We Are:   UES provides essential engineering services for some of the most prominent and significant projects in the nation.
