We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and execution of next-generation SIGINT systems needs for the next 10-20 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.
The Launch Integration and Operations Engineer serves as a technical advisor focusing on spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, and launch integration, ensuring that all components align with the operational goals and mission objectives. The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award
Specific responsibilities may include:
Systems Engineering: Provide technical expertise and oversight for the design, development, and integration of spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, and launch vehiclesRequirements Analysis: Analyze and validate system requirements, ensuring alignment against mission objectives and program goalsIntegration and Testing: Support integration activities for space vehicles and ground systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and mission readinessTechnical Support: Provide engineering support for payload and spacecraft design, development, and testing, including system performance analysis and risk assessmentsLaunch Integration: Collaborate with launch providers and stakeholders to ensure successful integration and deployment of spacecraft and payloadsProblem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to system integration, testing, and deployment, ensuring adherence to schedules and performance requirementsCollaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including operational teams, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure all launch operational requirements are metDocumentation: Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including technical reports, design reviews, and integration plansContinuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to engineering processes and tools to optimize system performance, resilience, and maintainabilityMinimum qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with PolygraphBachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)10+ years of experienceMission planning and initiation of SIGINT payloads and systems requiredExperience working with developers on the initiation, rehearsals, and planning as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) efforts of space systemsTest and Evaluation (T&E) experience requiredStrong communication skills requiredFamiliarity with IC acquisition policies and proceduresBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR
