The Role
As a member of the Legal Team and the Business Integrity Knowledge Area, your mission is to collaborate with all company areas to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and organizational ethical standards, focusing on business orientation and alignment with corporate strategy, being a \"Business Legal Partner,\" with the ultimate goal of improving patients' quality of life.
The position requires a special focus on the public procurement process, from pre-tender phases to contract execution, offering expert and strategic advice, in collaboration with relevant departments.
A holistic understanding of public procurement legislation and practices, as well as knowledge of the IVD market, is required.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Business Legal Partner in public procurement:
Provide expert advice to commercial teams from the initial stages of opportunity generation to contract formalization, including client meetings.
Review of bid documents and interpretation.
Drafting appeals, oppositions, and claims.
Coordination and management of external advisors.
Stay updated on jurisprudence, sector-specific cases in IVD, and \"state-of-the-art\" and trends in the sector.
Participate and influence the 'Tender To Cash' process phases to anticipate the creation of the best technical and economic proposal.
Provide advice on tender-related documentation, including technical documents, offers, or others.
Train the organization on key aspects related to public procurement.
As a member of the Legal Team, other responsibilities may include:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and legal documents. Updating contract models and other shared legal documentation with different company areas.
Preparation and maintenance of corporate documentation and participation in corporate operations.
Updating the organization on legislative changes impacting the company. Creation of internal policies, procedures, guides, informative notes, and/or providing training.
Competition law (legal queries, drafting protocols, and training).
Data protection.
Managing risks and opportunities in Legal and Compliance matters.
Implementing and monitoring compliance procedures related to corporate criminal liability.
Promoting and ensuring the application of applicable sector codes in the company's interactions with health sector stakeholders.
Reviewing promotional materials from a legal and compliance perspective.
Conducting internal training on legal and/or compliance aspects as needed.
Participating in industry association forums as needed.
Collaboration on area, company-wide, regional, and global projects.
Who You AreLaw Bachelor's Degree in Spain.
A master's degree or similar in public procurement is valued.
At least 5 years of experience in participating in public tender processes.
Experience in IVD companies, health, biotechnology companies, or prestigious law firms in administrative law.
High proficiency in Spanish and English. Knowledge of other official languages in Spain is valued.
