Senior Lead Controls Engineer
Position Overview We're searching for a talented Senior Lead Controls Engineer to join our innovative Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in Elmendorf, Texas. In this role, you will be at the helm of designing, developing, and optimizing sophisticated control systems that drive the future of manufacturing technology. You’ll oversee the entire lifecycle of control systems—from concept to execution—while ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will shape the design and specifications for critical control systems equipment, empowering our cutting-edge manufacturing processes and fueling our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities + Facilitate new and existing facilities to produce new models of class 5,6,7 and 8 commercial vehicles and busses, as well and modifications and new features added to these vehicles. + Serve as a subject matter expert on factory automation and control systems and will be referenced by the plants as well as other departments within International + Create and present reports of technical analysis and deliver executive-level presentations on key project milestones team achievements + Work with cross functional teams to ensure corporate control systems specifications are followed and effects on existing systems are considered + Assists in the design of control solutions including both hardware and software Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree + At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year of lead experience OR + Master’s degree + At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year of lead experience OR + At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
