Senior Lead for Community Health - CKMH

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Senior Lead for Community Health with our National Center. The location of the selected candidate is **flexible and remote** . **This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant-funded opportunity, current funding is through 6/30/2028.** The National Senior Community Health Lead for CKMH will be responsible for supporting the local execution of the CKMH (Cardiovascular Kidney Metabolic Health) initiative’s community strategies including managing a team of three Community Health Leads. This person will work collaboratively with the CKMH team, local markets, and others on the national Community Impact team to drive impact and ensure the goals of the CKMH initiative are met. The Community Health team for CKMH is responsible for engaging and supporting community organizations in CKMH markets in collaborating with clinical sites to address community needs. Expected pay range will be $110,00 to $120,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. Works with the team to develop and drive strategies to achieve goals of the initiative and the organization broadly. Communicates progress to broader community health team and keeps regional and market leadership informed. + Leads the CKMH community team. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and supporting CKMH team members. Identifies challenges team is facing and opportunities for improvement and works collaboratively to address them. + Collaborates with development colleagues to ensure funder deliverables are achieved and all reporting and accountability requirements are met. + Manages CKMH community budget and operations including collaboration with legal, finance, evaluation and other internal stakeholders. + Communicates with Regional and community teams regarding the work. Ensures collaboration with regional/local teams in reaching out to and/or working with CBO’s. + Develops resources, leads or facilitates training, and provides technical assistance to support staff and volunteers and to support the achievement of CKMH goals. + Participates in the National Community Health team and supports activities of the team to advance the mission of the Association. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or equivalent work experience + Five (5) to eight (8) years of the following experience: + Strong communication and leadership skills and demonstrated experience in team management, coalition building, volunteer management, or initiative management. + Demonstrated experience in policy, systems, or environmental change work focused on improving public health with a focus on reducing chronic disease. + Demonstrable consulting or advising experience, especially to colleagues over which there is no reporting relationship + Demonstrated ability to productively participate in a multi-disciplinary team environment working toward common goals. + Advocating for strategies, projects and ideas to internal audiences and helping colleagues develop and achieve outcomes goals + Ability to strategically guide and put into practice nationally developed programs in a collaborative business environment **Preferred:** + Funded initiative management and donor relations + Budget management, reporting, and accountability to deliverables. **Compensation & Benefits** Expected pay range will be $110,00 to $120,000.
