The team you will be a part of The Software Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development/troubleshooting or debugging of moderately complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Performs high-level design/modeling to convert stakeholder needs into software solutions. Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Develops the architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards and communicates to stakeholders.This role in summary

The lead software engineer will play a key role in the development of embedded software platform(s) that will drive
innovation for Whirlpool Smart Appliances across the full range of products developed by Whirlpool. These software
platforms range from running RTOS at the low-end to running Embedded Android at the high-end.

Your responsibilities will include

Educational Qualifications- B.Tech-MTech/ Master Degree on Electrical / Electronic Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Mechatronics etc.

Experience Required- 9 to15 years

Job Details-

- Excellent knowledge of Android's architecture, including in-depth knowledge of the Android Open-Source
Project (AOSP) Framework.
● Experience creating or modifying a BSP for Android SoM
● Excellent knowledge of bootloader, hardware interfaces, and driver development
● Excellent knowledge of the Linux stack and kernel
● Experience in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth driver development
● 7+ years of experience in embedded software development

- Expert in C programming
● Knowledge of Java

- Experience working in Linux including work in one or major subsystems within the OS
● Experience with debuggers such as gdb, lldb, etc.
● Experience working with the Linux open-source community is highly desired
● Familiarity with standard hardware protocols (USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe, MIPI, HDMI, DDR)
● Excellent problem-solving skills, especially debugging of complex software systems
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● A passion for applying the latest technologies to the development of innovative features and products
● A collaborative attitude and a strong desire to succeed as part of the team
● Self-motivated and a strong passion for learning
● Deep understanding of full product development lifecycle
