We’re looking for a technical writer who becomes comfortable with both the “technical” and “writer” aspects of the job. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting comprehensive, accurate, approachable content for a developer audience that helps users understand and connect with sophisticated technical subjects. You enjoy digging into what your audience needs to know to succeed, and collaborating closely with internal developers, and working with other writers to build phenomenal content!

Your Impact:

We assess the need for, plan, and deliver a range of documentation for Salesforce developers, including API content, reference guides, conceptual content, release notes, and how-to/task-based contentCollaborate with team members to help scope and build developer documentation for the features they coverLearn and apply style, language, and structure standards for developer responsibilities!

Required Skills:

7 + years of technical writing experienceProven ability crafting technical, developer-focused contentExperience with source control softwareAbility to read, understand, and build short code samples in a variety of programming languagesExperience with CRM applications (Salesforce familiarity a plus)Experience with Salesforce-specific technologies (Apex, Lightning Web Components, etc.)Experience with technologies such as IDEs, Web services technologies, APIs, SDKs, and object-oriented programmingProgramming knowledge with HTML (JavaScript knowledge desired but not required)Superb communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to quickly learn new sophisticated technologiesDegree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
