Senior Leader, Solutions Engineering

What You'll Do:

You will provide technical strategy and business guidance with the sales leadership team. This consists of developing and maintaining a team of impactful Solutions Engineering leaders & Team to continually seek creative methods for improving team performance. You will help meet operational revenue goals by driving creative programs and leading day-to-day activities. You will lead and grow Solutions Engineering team talent and expertise and create a technical resource plan for your business. To ensure success cross functional collaboration with extended teams is required to prioritize and target team opportunities and review quantitative information to identify and explain trends. You will also understand mechanisms for establishing team capacity, improving team performance and align resources to deliver on commitments and get results.

As part of this role, you will: Lead team to technical account strategies that align with customer business requirements and goals; assign resources appropriately Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and target team opportunities; review quantitative information to identify and explain trends Interact with business units to provide support for your leadership Teams and Customers Assist in qualified partner identification where appropriatePossess strong technical and business knowledge with complementary skills to understand the customers’ business drivers and align to Cisco solutions. You know how to establish collaborative relationships built on trust and commitment and develop relationships at multiple levels within customer accounts, understand the customer's business model, and help the team identify an architecture and/or solution that provides a return on investment. You have a vast understanding of industry trends, including new products and solutions. You have a sophisticated understanding of the product and solution landscape in the Service Provider space. You can articulate trade-offs between Cisco and competitor products.

Minimum Requirements for the role:8+ years of related technical sales experience in the telecom industrySolutions engineering leadership, technical management, experience in developing and executing sales strategies, and planning (or proven leadership of technical organizations).Preferred Skills:BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent with Service Provider experience Advanced understanding of networking industry trends, including new products and solutions and the competitive landscape Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) are desirable. Strong listening skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Why Cisco?
