Log back in Senior Learning Designer, Teaching Grants and Program Assessment Posting Number 2025-14478 Posted Date 24 hours ago(2/14/2025 9:19 AM) Location : Location US-NY-New York Hybrid Remote Work Classification Hybrid: 60% to 80% Onsite Department Center for Teaching and Learning School/Division Office of the Provost (WS1034) Compensation Grade Band 53 Union N/A FT/PT Full-Time Category Technology Position Summary The Senior Learning Designer partners with faculty and teaching support staff across the university, on the development and implementation of evidence-based teaching strategies in line with the educational goals of the faculty, department, school, site, and University. Write external grants and Manage the teaching and learning grants offered by Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Research, develop, implement and report on an assessment plan for individual classes, programs, and the CTL programs and offerings. Mentor contractors, consultants, and student workers on departmental processes. Qualifications Required Education:
Master's Degree in a relevant field around education and technology
Required Experience:
3+ years of related professional work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience in developing and delivering pedagogy workshops in a variety of modalities; analyzing, validating, and presenting data in multiple settings; conducting individual faculty consultations, reviewing syllabus design and teaching practices, and offering guidance on evidence-based strategies to support teaching redesign; and working with faculty and students as well as administrators across various university units. Must have experience writing Grants in Higher Education and doing research and benchmark analysis on higher education topics. Must also have experience in writing assessment reports.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years University-level teaching and professional experience in educational technology. 3+ years Grant writing and program assessment reports
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, evidence-based Instructional Design models & educational pedagogy, and innovative pedagogical best-practices. Demonstrated experience working with curriculum, assessment, and measurable learning outcomes, also a specific focus on measuring faculty development programs Demonstrated effectiveness in designing, developing, and delivering courses in higher education. Knowledge of the use of course management systems. Ability to convey the affordances of technology in education. Experience working independently as well as cooperatively with colleagues and clients. Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and team building skills. Demonstrated creative problem solving abilities and initiatives.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of pedagogical theories and practice, assessment theories and strategies as well as the ways in which they have been implemented in education and faculty development programs.
Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
