As a Senior Learning & Development Program Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative learning solutions across our global organization. This includes spearheading front-line manager programs, leadership development initiatives, and digital learning solutions. By focusing on practical, real-time interventions and skills building, you’ll contribute directly to OpenText’s growth strategy and the development of our workforce. 

 

The Learning and Development function is both a strategic partner and an execution engine for the business. Close collaboration with business leaders, thought experts and subject matter experts will be critical in this role to support ongoing skill development through various avenues and for all OpenText employees, and our managers, in particular.  This is an end-to-end individual contributor role that provides great visibility and high impact.  Join us in driving transformative change and making a significant impact on our organization’s future. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Program/Solution Development & Facilitation 
•    Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to align learning initiatives with business requirements.  
•    Lead the creative design and development of high-quality learning and development deliverables.  
•    Facilitate the delivery of innovative learning solutions in both virtual and in-person settings.  
•    Manage vendor relationships and projects to ensure quality and effectiveness in learning solutions.  

 

Business Advisor & Collaborator 
•    Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify learning needs and subject complexities.  
•    Leverage analytics, stakeholder insight and personal observations to form points of view on the needs of our key target audience and appropriate solutions
•    Assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to improve learning initiatives.  

 

Leadership Development
•    Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the needs and appropriate solutions for OpenText leaders 
•    Work with individual senior leaders to implement development tools such as 360s, coaching, targeted training


 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
•    10+ years of experience in building and executing learning strategies within an organization.  
•    Proven track record in delivering innovative learning and development initiatives, both digital and classroom based.  
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to lead large-scale programs with significant impact.  
•    Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and business unit leaders.  
•    Excellent business acumen to connect learning initiatives to real-world business outcomes.  
•    Strong curiosity and analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and seek improvement opportunities.  
•    Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present to leaders with poise and confidence.  
•    Openness to diverse ideas and perspectives, fostering inclusiveness in all interactions.  


Work Arrangement:  This role will be office-based out of either Richmond Hill, ON or Waterloo, ON offices.  Employees need to be in the office on OpenText corporate days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) to drive maximum coordination and collaboration.
