The Opportunity:

As the Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing legal matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting ethical business practices. You will collaborate with various business units to mitigate risks and promote a culture of integrity and ethical decision-making across the organization. This role will report to the Head of Legal & Compliance based in Indonesia.
 

The Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel is responsible for the following:-

Manage day-to-day commercial contracts with customers, partners, suppliers, and vendors.

Advising business on compliance matters.

Oversee contract administration and management.

Provide legal and regulatory research support.

Strengthen business ethics and compliance, including drafting SOPs and policies.

Deliver compliance training and support risk management and monitoring.

Assist with third-party management and data protection implementation.

Conduct investigations and manage conflict of interest disclosures

Hands-on experience in contracts and negotiations to build long-term strategic advantage and manage legal risks preferred.

Experienced working in cross-functional teams and a global matrix organization preferred and preferably broad knowledge of international business practice, trade, and commercial policies.

An active member of the Legal and Compliance Networks in APAC and Group Legal. 

Who You Are:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law & Bar License.

Professional experience/duration: Bar Qualification (Mandatory)

Specialist knowledge: Previous medical device industry experience will be well regarded.

Travel 5-10% required (ONLY if applicable)

At least 7-10 years of experience in a recognized law firm, accounting firm, or multinational company’s legal, compliance, or internal audit function, with a strong interest in compliance.

Subject matter knowledge in compliance management, quality management, risk management, process development, regional project management, and/or auditing skills preferred.

Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Please note that this is an Individual Contributor role with no people management responsibilities.
