Where this position fits-into the team:
Part of the Unilever Legal Powerhouse – a team we’re currently building, which consists of colleagues in Bangalore, Mexico City and Barcelona.Integral part of the Unilever’s Legal Function - a global operation consisting of approximately 600 lawyers and specialistsProviding legal support for MBS, Global Media and UniOps portfolios reporting to the GC based in London.Role purpose
To negotiate and draft complex/outsourcing services agreements with global media, IT, business services, marketing suppliers. Influencing suppliers to accept our own standard templates or, alternatively, negotiating the use of their templates, with changes that suit Unilever’s interests.
To work directly with the GC for MBS, Global Media and Uniops in negotiating and drafting appropriate complex/outsourcing services agreements.
Have a key role, working with GC for MBS, Global Media and UniOps in creating contract guidance, contract templates and help map contract processes to achieve efficiencies and for procurement and business partners in line with the contracting policy
To work closely with our business partners including procurement, tax, privacy and cyber security teams to ensure that business intentions and inherent risks are addressed.

Support the operation of Unilever policies and processes for key suppliersSupport the operation of required ongoing compliance activities for key suppliers.Understand changes to standard clauses, and highlight deviations and risks, if outside of standard clauses.Ensure the organization’s internal contract document templates are accurate and up to date.Identify opportunities to improve current contract processes and devise plans to implement these changes.Stakeholder Management

Relevant Experience

Professional qualification in lawMinimum 5 years hands-on experience in contract drafting/reviewing/negotiating role.Strong English language drafting and legal advisory skills.Achieving outcomes and results by influencing the way resources not in your control are utilized.Attention to detail.Ability to work with colleagues across multiple time zones and countries and at all levels.Willingness and drive for process excellence.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferable
