Lenovo is looking for a high-impact technology senior lawyer to lead interpretation of EU AI Act and regulations with respect to Lenovo’s business and products, assist worldwide multifunction team in implementing compliance processes, and provide counsel to diverse client groups regarding the Act and legal matters relating to artificial intelligence generally.

Job Responsibilities (Essential functions and duties): 

Understand and interpret EU AI Act requirements as they apply to LenovoWork with internal and external government relations professionals and outside counsel to strategically engage with relevant regulators and agenciesAssist global legal and compliance team in developing and implementing compliance measuresProvide advice and support to diverse clients groups regarding EU AI Act and AI legal mattersWork seamlessly with global legal team as a subject matter expert on the Act and AI lawNegotiate agreements with vendors, customers, and technology partners with respect to AI services, products, and technologies

Basic Job Requirements:

JD or LLM and admission to practice12 years of legal counseling, drafting and negotiation experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably focused on AI, software, SaaS, and related technologiesExperience with legal and regulatory interpretation with respect to advanced technologyDemonstrated effective interpersonal interaction, including with executives in a highly customer-satisfaction focused environmentDeveloped critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills, with a willingness to get into the details of complex problems and drive creative solutionsExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsDetail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressureDemonstrated exceptional judgment, integrity and ability to give practical advice appropriately weighing legal and business objectivesA strong team player who can work well with colleagues in all functional groupsCommitted to his/her personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with constructive action

Travel Requirements:

Frequent (1-2 per month) travel within EU, and occasional outside of Europe.
