Division Lead Counsel

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel with an analytical and structured working style, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to work in a team. The drive for high-quality work results, technical expertise, and several years of professional experience in a legal department or law firm will set you apart.You will be accountable for:• Provides L&I related advice to ABB management and acts as an advisor to the business stakeholders.• Reviews and negotiates contract, drafts commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and L&I team members, and oversees contract management.• Monitors legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupies a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.• Manages and monitors the implementation and execution of the code of conduct across the organization and collaborates with the integrity & regulatory affairs team on integrity policies & processes, as necessary.Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.• Ensures adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope.

Qualifications for the role

Successful completion of a degree in law, business law or a comparable course of study. More than 8 years of professional experience in a company with a comparable international structure or in a commercial law firm. Specific knowledge of IT and Software contractual law preferred. Authoritative and integrating demeanor, commitment, strong team and communication skills, hands-on mentality and flexibility, service-, solution- and customer-oriented personality, structured approach to work. Detailed understanding of economic context and technical issues as well as entrepreneurial mindset required, product knowledge from the industry preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and international teams. Fluent written and spoken English skills. Fluent German is a plus.
