Job Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Legal and Compliance Senior Director Europe, your main responsibilities will be:
• Advise on and deal with day-to-day questions from the various business divisions of the company (Sales, Sourcing, Marketing, Finance, …)
• Draft, review, prepare and, where necessary negotiate, international sales and sourcing contracts.
• Advise on and deal with disputes and litigation in relation with external counsel.
• Follow-up on Corporate law issues with external counsel and maintain accurate company records
• Contribute to implementing the Company’s worldwide compliance program and participate in monitoring legal compliance developments in the region.
• Contribute to the general goals of the legal department, such as creating legal awareness, drafting and keeping up to date templates and Q&A's and contribute to the knowledge management.
• Demonstrate ability to work across jurisdictions, business units and functions to ensure that there is consistency and that the needs of your internal clients are understood and addressed.
• Work e􀆯ectively in a matrix organization.Report on activities (findings, analysis) and advise the managers on legal issues whilst acting in the company's best interest.
• Act as business partner and deliver sound practical legal advice
The Profile
• European qualified Lawyer.
• 5-7 years' relevant experience, as an in-house counsel and/or in a law firm.
• Experience in an international/pan-European organization , prior experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred (this is necessary to understand the needs and specifics of a multinational company with operations in multiple manufacturing sites across Europe).
• A generalist legal background but with demonstrated experience in litigations, contracts and corporate law.
• Flexible, hands-on, organised and able to manage and prioritise workload.
• Excellent communication skills on various levels and ability to build good working relationships across the business.
• Trustworthy, team player and positive outlook.
• Must be willing and able to travel internationally, on average 15 -25%
Fluency both written and spoken is essential to fill this role. Knowledge of Italian/Danish or German will be considered a plus.
