About the role
The Senior Legal Counsel, Europe will have responsibility for the following activities:
The role can be based in Amsterdam, Cologne or Paris.
About you
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of employment law experience, prior in-house experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a sound understanding of all aspects of employment law and an ability to apply that knowledge pragmatically in a commercial environment; Have substantial experience in working on multi-jurisdictional matters across Europe; Have experience in managing external legal counsel; Have an interest in designing and implementing new ways of delivering legal services (including the use, where appropriate, of legal tech); Have good awareness of the role of the legal function in a global business; Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment; Have the ability to deal with issues outside the candidate’s experience and to learn quickly; Have project management experience; Have the confidence and gravitas to challenge decisions and actions when required; and Be a skilled communicator (noting that English is the primary language used within Dyson), and with a proven record of being able to quickly build effective and trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization up to and including C-suite.
