+ Job Description
+ Apply legal, business, and analytical skills to all legal matters within the Business, including:
+ Drafting and reviewing of a range of commercial agreements (including Service Agreements, proposals, Non-Disclosure Agreements, RFPs / RFIs, employment, licensing) .
+ Participate in client contract negotiations, where necessary.
+ Interact with internal teams, including operations, business development, finance to draft / review SOW and with HR and IT teams for a range of key strategic business initiatives where legal support is required.
+ Analysis of legal issues related to commercial risks to present clear recommendations and practical counseling to ensure compliance with various PRC legal matters, local regulations and laws.
+ Participate in negotiations with customers and vendors and ensure conformance with internal contracting requirements, policies, guidelines and risk mitigation requirements
+ Co-ordinate and provide legal advisory support related to operations in the Business on issues such as:
+ mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, new business set-up, liquidation, dissolution and other corporate transactions;
+ Legal supporting to E&O matters and other contentious/dispute resolution matters;
+ employment law and local employment related matters; and
+ other transactional matter and ad-hoc support as required by the business or assigned by China Legal Lead from time to time.
+ Qualifications:
+ A law degree from a recognized law school and excellent academics.
+ 3 years or above working experiences in legal and compliance area;
+ Certificate from Chinese Bar and other jurisdiction are preferred
+ Proficiency in Chinese language and in spoken and written English.
+ Proficiency with PC environment and related software.
+ Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization, including business leadership while exercising sound judgment, self-confidence, and respect for others.
+ Proven track record of strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and people management skills; including the ability to influence and build relationships outside of direct reporting structures
+ Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a fast-paced, multi-task environment; willingness to research, analyze and develop new skills.
+ Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to changing deadlines, changing deliverables and evolving task priorities.
+ Capability to find creative solutions to complex legal issues, moving easily between a hands-on, operations-focused view and a larger strategic outlook.
+ Proven ability to manage domestic and international coordination among cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to identify and articulate practical legal solutions in a useful and easily-understood manner while partnering with the internal/external client to ensure successful implementation.
