Help us assist multiple types of clients (Independent Power Producers, Municipal Electric Utilities, Investor-Owned Utilities, Contractors, and Developers), address their challenges, and implement power grid systems of the future.  Get experience in a wide range of power plant technologies including biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, fossil fuel, carbon capture, battery energy storage, and hydro.

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:Design mechanical piping and equipment for renewable and fossil power generation facilitiesEvaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, industry codes and standards to projectsPerform high-complexity engineering designs including analysis, calculations, research, and equipment selectionDevelop P&IDs for power plant systems including steam cycles, boiler feed, condensate, water treatment, fuel gas, hydrogen, and utilitiesPrepare sizing calculations and specifications for major equipment including, but not limited to, heat recovery steam generators, condensers, cooling towers, tanks, blowers, and pumpsPrepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systems.Check design deliverables by industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standardsCoordinate with other drafters, designers, and engineers and review work progress and resultsProvide technical mentoring and/or oversightRequired Education/ExperienceBSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) degree from an accredited university10+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilitiesProfessional Engineering registration in at least one US StateThe candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesDesired Education/ExperiencePower plant design experienceRenewable natural gas plant design experienceWorking knowledge of Microstation or Auto CADWorking knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworxExperience using Caesar II or AutoPipeExperience using Thermoflow
