Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. **Requisition ID:** 38776BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Provide service to the Texas Tech community at the Library Makerspace, VR Lab, and through any virtual service points by answering questions, assisting patrons with constructing 3D designs, providing troubleshooting, promoting Library resources, and contributing to usage statistics. + Assist Libraries patrons with the hardware and software found in the Emerging Technology areas, with a focus on sewing, knitting, textile, Cricut, laser cutting, and 3D printing services. + Instruct the Libraries' patrons on makerspace technology during point-of-service interactions and during workshop or outreach demonstrations. Instruction may often include creating and developing teaching materials, handouts, and online resources for patron use. + Maintaining the Emerging Technology hardware and software for optimal performance.
