Job Description

With locations all over the world, we're a fast-paced, growing Services Company with tons of upside. We keep growing... and growing... and growing; hence, the need for someone like you. We're currently looking to hire a full-time Senior Linux Engineer with extensive Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.

What You Will Be Doing

Install and configure Linux hosts (generally, but not limited to, Red Hat)Deploy and configure various Java applicationsDeploy and configure various Apache and Tomcat installationsScript common tasks using Perl, Bash, etc.Plan for and troubleshoot resource bottlenecksTroubleshoot problems with application, web and database performance

Qualifications

Very strong Linux/Unix/Solaris Administration and troubleshooting skills including job control, soft and hard links, distinctions between the kernel and the shell, shell scriptingTroubleshooting 3-tier (app, web, db) servicesExperience using code repositories (svn/git)Understanding of DNS and how to configure and troubleshoot itConfiguration Management experience using Puppet/Ansible a plusCassandra experience a plusKnowledge / use of security and password management software (selinux, ossec, sssd, LDAP, Kerberos) a plusVMware/vSphere/vCenter installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting a plus
