Rite-Solutions, Inc., is seeking a skilled Senior System Administer LINUX candidate in Newport, RI the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).\n

You will perform various system administration duties in a large Windows and Linux environment. Assist in implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux issues relating to performance and compliance and security hardening.\n

Principle Duties and Responsibilities\n\nExtensive knowledge (7+ years' experience) of implementing and supporting Red Hat or similar distributions of Linux.\nEnterprise Automation using Ansible Tower.\nMonitor network security trends and emerging concerns and work with management to address risks.\nReview vendor-issued security releases and identify remedial steps. Implement changes as approved by the government manager\nDetailed knowledge of Linux and Windows security hardening principles and practices\nExcellent customer service, interpersonal, communication skills\nAct as subject matter expert on implementing and supporting Linux in an enterprise and R&D Lab environment\nDetailed knowledge of integrating Linux within an Active Directory\/Delania formally Centrify based environment\nProvide contact and problem resolution for users with hardware, software and applications problems.\nProvide computer compliance and technical support for Linux, software and peripherals and support maintenance of internal custom applications.\nRoutine research and implementation of compliance solutions in strict accordance with established guidelines.\n\n

Additional Requirements\n\n7+ years' experience assisting in implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux issues relating to performance and compliance and security hardening \nExperience with scripting languages and automation techniques\nCandidate must be certified (CompTIA Security+ CE and Linux certification)\nExcellent communication skills required\nPosition requires U.S. Citizenship\nAbility to obtain a security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred\nMilitary or government experience preferred but not necessary\n\n
