Senior Magnetic Modeling Scientist Manager
Spin Transfer Technologies
The Senior Magnetic Modeling Scientist Manager will lead the research and development effort in spin transfer MRAM modeling and theory, in close collaboration with the process and design groups. This will involve building up the computational infrastructure of GPU clusters and code-base for micromagnetic simulation incorporating spin transfer physics. The modeling and theory group will provide modeling and simulation support to understand experimental data as well as guidance for improving the performance of spin-transfer MRAM devices through optimization and innovation in the architecture, design, and material composition of the devices.
The position requires a fundamental understanding of the science and technology of spin-transfer MRAM devices and materials, and extensive experience with modeling and simulation for practical applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with research organizations and industry partners in joint development projects. Some travel is required.
Desired Skills & Experience
Fundamental understanding of the science and characteristics of spin-transfer MRAM devices and materials
Extensive experience with modeling and simulation
Experience with coding of micromagnetic andor spin transport simulation
Experience with interacting experimental team to connecting with simulations results to device
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline and a minimum of three 3 years of practical experience.
Candidates must have demonstrated problem solving abilities, solid work management experience, teamwork experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
