Key responsibilities for this role include:

Ensure that manufacturing process equipment is maintained, supported and available.

Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule and track maintenance activities, ensuring optimal equipment uptime.

Ensuring best practice approach for spare part management to minimise operational disruption.

Provide Technical Input to Maintenance related Quality Incidents and implement an ongoing program to increase Maintenance RFT (Right First Time) tasks.

Ensure on an ongoing basis that the maintenance structure is fit for purpose, standardizing approaches and practices, while implementing any changes using an effective change management approach.

Build a high trust and engagement culture within a diverse and talented technical support team of supervisors, technical leads and coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure effective performance management, communications and recognition within function.

Supporting and / or managing Maintenance CI Programs (including cost out initiatives) as required.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance to resolve technical challenges and optimize processes.

Communicate effectively with senior management, presenting updates on maintenance activities and Key Performance Indicators.

Demonstrate strong leadership and flexibility to support operational demands and changes to business direction as needed.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

Degree in Engineering (mechanical/electrical/mechatronics) is essential; an additional qualification in mechatronics, automation or business/management would be advantageous.

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment; technical team leadership.

Strong exposure to process equipment best-practice maintenance including CMMS and RCM.

Strong leader with demonstrated experience and ability to enhance skills, capabilities and performance of maintenance personnel.

Excellent influencer and written/verbal communicator and good documentation skills.

Ability to work on own initiative with minimal direction.

Numerate with good financial/budgeting skills and ability to use CMMS to influence maintenance efficiencies.

Knowledge and experience of implementing best practices with a focus on continuous Improvement.
