Senior Maintenance Specialist

Summary

The Senior Maintenance Specialist will develop detailed job plans including the labor (type and quantity), materials, tools, and work procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance for the facility and all types of equipment. The position is responsible for the short and long term scheduling of all maintenance activities. The position balances priorities, manpower, material, and equipment availability to develop department and individual work schedules.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Prepare daily work schedules for the Maintenance Supervisor, and up to 15 - 30 Maintenance Technicians. Lead the scheduling of down day and non-down day maintenance work.Develop detailed job plans including the labor (type and quantity), materials, tools, work procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance to facilities and equipment to meet the objectives of the work request.Manage and maintain the Work Flow process (work identifications, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing.Supervise contractors and fill in as Maintenance Supervisor as necessaryDirect Hourly Planner or Storeroom AttendantSet-up and maintain any Preventative Maintenance work order established in Maximo.Generate purchase requests for non-stocked parts and tools to support the planned jobs.Responsible for developing cost estimates, tracking spending vs. budget, and performance KPI’s for Maintenance.Maximo Systems Administration including providing plant support and training, updating equipment hierarchies, PM generation, and Generates performance reports.Capital request preparation, installation, start-up/checkout/debugging, and cost controls of assigned projects. Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma required, Technical or Associates degree preferred.A minimum of three years of experience in a maintenance department that utilizes good planning and scheduling techniques with another two years in some type of leadership/planning role.Must have experience with MWO systems and planning.Demonstrated experience in process and quality improvements, implementing strategy for production operations, hiring/training/coaching employees and performance management.Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, oil analysis, I/R thermography). Exposure to critical path analysis will be a plus.

Annual Salary Range: 87,750-112,125
