Site Name: Costa Rica - Cartago - Tres Rios Posted Date: Nov 4 2024 As a Senior Management Accounting Specialist, you act as a partner to the site finance, providing timely and accurate reporting for Month End Close activities. Support GSK production sites with Costing related activities, control and audit requirements, i.e. internal and external audit, and other controls. Also, can participate in and support global projects for process improvements, standardization, or new process implementations and drive for excellence in SMAS (Specialized Management and Accounting Services) processes and contributing widely to a high-performance culture within the team. Your Responsibilities: This role gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, the main of these are: Primarily responsible for delivery of assigned SMAS processes according to agreed SMAS operating model and/or Service Level Agreements whilst ensuring full compliance with GSK and external accounting policies. Operate according to governance frameworks, policies and internal controls, prepare reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts in scope as well as other relevant accounting controls. Align and partner with Site Finance to review results against plans and identify improvement opportunities. Ensure that process activities are carried out in a robust and efficient manner and delivered accurately to SMAS Customer groups according to agreed timelines, critically analyzing and assessing data and information to ensure SMAS processes support reliable, informed business decisions. Drive continuous process and service improvement, contribute to new ideas and opportunities to actively support continuous improvement within the cluster and across SMAS, striving for standardization and improved performance to support delivery of wider organizational objectives. Support Annual Standard Setting and Product Costing processes. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these characteristics to achieve our goals: Technical degree or advanced studies in Accounting or Finance. Industrial Engineering with accounting background also considered. Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in cost accounting field. Knowledge of management accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing cost & production environment. Fluent English. Advanced level Excel skills Preferred Experience: However, if you have the following, it would be a plus: Data Analytics tools knowledge. SAP Experience. Why GSK?
