The Merchant Team is dedicated to overseeing, shaping, and growing the business of our merchant partners. We develop and execute go-to-market strategies with the goal of serving our community while creating mutually beneficial collaborations with merchants. Our mission is to help enhance their business offerings and positively impact the lives of their customers through the Grab platform.
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager for Account Management to lead a high performing team of account leads and managers. You will drive business growth, establishing business relationships with our merchant partners, and navigating strategic initiatives. Your role will involve creative planning, excellent execution, and strong team communication to maximize value in partnership negotiations and implementations. Essentially, we are looking for a seasoned sales leader with ambition and drive, able to build partnerships to support a variety of high-priority F&B, Mart, and FMCG programs.
You will report directly to the Head of Merchants. This is an onsite role, where you will need to travel to our Ortigas office.
The Critical Tasks You will Perform
You will:
Oversee Go-to-Market Activities: Manage the go-to-market strategies for merchants, taking on commercial and revenue responsibilities.Set and Achieve Sales Targets: Define sales targets, drive monetization, and ensure the team is equipped with the necessary initiatives to meet their targets.Strategic Direction: Provide strategic guidance in developing Grab strategies that align with merchant partners' objectives.Build Business Relationships: Build business relationships with merchant partners through regular engagements.Collaborate Across Departments: Work with other departments to ensure excellent end-to-end merchant service and responsiveness to market trends and needs.Mentor: Lead and mentor teams of account leads and managers, promoting their development and success.QualificationsWhat Skills You will Need
Sales and Account Management Experience: At least 10 years of experience in sales and account management, preferably within the FMCG and e-Commerce industry.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strong internal and external selling and negotiation skills.Leadership: Strong personal, business, and team leadership. Team player and self motivated.Team Collaboration: Act as a team player and passionate leader who is able to collaborate effectively in a multifunctional environment.Strong organizational abilities and analytical skills to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.Additional InformationLife at Grab
