OverviewSummary
The Senior Manager, Accounting is responsible for managing a team of accountants and the financial systems administrator. This position is also responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls to ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and transactions recorded in compliance with both internal financial policies and US GAAP. The position works closely with the FP&A team, the Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team, the Revenue Accounting team, and various other business unit leaders.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
Leads the corporate accounting team which consists of managers, senior accountants and staff accountants, supporting continued development of team membersManages the Financial Systems Administrator and ensures key financial systems, including the general ledger system, meet accounting requirements; contributes to the design and validation of financial system changes to maintain proper controls and compliance with various requirementsOversees the general (corporate) accounting function, which includes the accurate and timely monthly close cycle; communicates effectively with FP&A and Accounting/Finance leadership to anticipate, record and analyze financial resultsPlans and directs various projects for the accounting team in furtherance of Company strategy and continuous improvementEnsures policies, procedures and internal controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance that company assets are protected, and accounting is recorded in accordance with company policies and US GAAPManages the balance sheet including establishing account reconciliation procedures, reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure complianceCoordinates with the Controller and Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team to plan and oversee work relating to external audits and other periodic reviews of the company financial recordsDevelops and drives necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls and plays a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvementsResearches and analyzes technical accounting matters and recommendation of actions in collaboration with the Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting teamDrives process change to affect efficiencies in overall accounting and business processesCollaborates with leaders of various business areas to understand operations and ensure processing meets accounting requirements; represents accounting requirements in cross-functional conversations QualificationsRequired Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in roles of increasing responsibility within the accounting & finance functionBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or business-related fieldPublic accounting and industry experience preferredLicensed Certified Public Accountant (can be inactive) preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reportingComfortable operating in a highly dynamic, fast paced and high growth environment with a demonstrated ability to add value to the businessExcellent communication, writing, managerial organizational and people skillsProven initiator, innovator and influencer who can drive change, improve processes, and provide sound solutions to complex and routine business issuesCollaborative and accessible manager with a successful track record of developing, mentoring and motivating top performing teamsFamiliarity with sophisticated ERP systems (NetSuite) including consolidation and reporting toolsBusiness Acumen

Pay Range
$140,000 - $165,000
Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
