Senior Manager, Accounting and Control

The Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting maintains accurate, timely and complete financial records for all financial transactions from supplier to customer using effective and efficient systems. Responsible for the closing and supervising of legal entities monthly as well as leading and mentoring team members through the close process.  This individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and support schedules for assigned legal entities. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manage assigned team members and provide training, work direction, and coachingResponsible for closing and supervising of legal entities monthly and working with the FP&A team to review financial resultsEnsure alignment of operational priorities with business prioritiesAnalyze data to make informed decisions about the operations of the teamFocus on Month end close process efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement for all assigned legal entitiesMonitor entity close scope to ensure adherence and compliance with controlsTrack and perform analysis of services delivered in group, including internal and external benchmarkingWork with team to standardize processes across entitiesWork with Internal/External auditors to answer questionsIdentify best practices and continuous improvement opportunities and facilitates embedment of the practices into the organization.Develops people to reach their full potential through individual coaching, training, and career development, preparing them to assume increased responsibility.Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required5-10 years of experience in Accounting or Finance related position5 years supervisory experienceCPA and/or MBA is desired.
