Position Purpose - Senior Manager of Analytics
Vail Resorts is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Advance Commitment Analytics. The team leverages Vail Resorts’ proprietary data related to the Season Pass business (Epic Pass) to generate insights about guest behavior that drive value for the enterprise. The team informs strategic decisions across the company and is a key partner to many stakeholders, including Pass Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Accounting. This Senior Manager role is primarily responsible for managing the revenue budgeting and forecasting team for the North American Pass business.
This individual should have a proven track record as a high potential talent demonstrating leadership, drive, business acumen, and emotional intelligence. This is a highly visible analytical role and relationship building will be a key component of success. Strong presentation skills and an aptitude for condensing large amounts of data into a meaningful story are critical. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of the Advance Commitment Analytics team.

Job Responsibilities:
Revenue Budgeting & Forecasting Leverage extensive historical guest behavior data and industry trends to develop the North American Pass until the revenue budget Partner with cross-functional global teams (Australia and Europe) to develop the Pass unit and revenue budget. Analyze recent trends to revise fiscal year forecast in partnership with Finance and Revenue Accounting. Report on variance to expectations and communicate key guest behavior insights to influence action. Support long-term financial modeling for the Pass business. Presentation Communicate conclusions, implications, and recommendations in a clear, concise fashion. Advise and influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive effective strategies and decisions based on budget expectations. Supervision Manage and develop an Analyst responsible for supporting the Pass unit and revenue budgeting process.
Job Requirements:
Very strong quantitative and analytic skills with demonstrated success in analytical or financial roles – preferred 4-5 years previous experience. Preferred: Masters or MBA in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics, with a focus on quantitative analysis. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint) required. Proven experience communicating actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to business stakeholders. Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication, adjusting message to audience. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Strong project management skills are essential. Must be able to independently own projects and coordinate cross-functionally within the organization. Demonstrated success working with large data sets. Experience with analytic tools/software such as Tableau and similar programs preferred. Experience with data processing (SQL) also a plus.
