Senior Manager, Billing Operations

The Senior Manager, Billing Operations will be responsible for managing the day to day billing operations and leading the team through process and systems optimization. As the Senior Manager, Billing Operations, you will help scale and improve Fastly’s billing operations to accommodate for revenue growth. You will help lead a high visibility function that regularly interacts with customers, multiple internal departments, and external auditors. The ideal candidate excels at planning, facilitation, coordination, and communication.

What You'll Do:

Build, evolve, and own the end-to-end billing processes Ensure timely and accurate billing for all customers, including new bookings, renewals, usage-based billing, and ad-hoc charges Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) ensuring continuous improvement Work closely with the finance and sales teams to resolve customer disputes and provide exceptional customer service Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606 for revenue recognition)

What We're Looking For: 

Understanding of basic accounting principles. Accounting and/or accounts receivable work experience a plus Proven experience in building or transforming billing functions in a fast-growth environment. Strong understanding of SaaS billing models, including subscription, usage-based, and hybrid models. Proficient with billing software and CRM tools, with a demonstrated ability to implement and optimize new systems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and resolve customer issues efficiently.

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

Experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition is a plus A good command of GSuite and Microsoft Excel. NetSuite, Aria, Logisense, Zendesk, and Salesforce knowledge a plus Strong analytical skills, exceptional organization and time management skills, and ability to work autonomously

This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $139,830 to $186,444. 

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
