Role Summary
This role focuses on developing and expanding tours and activities in Japan. The mission is to create exciting travel experiences for both global and local customers by leading a team to build strong partnerships and drive business growth.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and develop competitive products by leveraging Klook’s strengths in technology and its global user base.
Build strategic partnerships, effectively communicate Klook’s value, and proactively understand market and merchant needs.
Market Strategy & Growth:
Develop and implement data-driven strategies informed by market insights to sustain industry leadership, identify new business opportunities, and drive incremental growth.
Stay ahead of market trends and evolving customer demands.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supplier operations, customer service, finance) to maximize sales, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
Destination/Vertical Management:
Take ownership of designated destinations or verticals by gathering key insights, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, and representing Klook within the industry.
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in OTA, e-commerce, or a related industry. Proven expertise in business development or strategic planning within these sectors, particularly with diverse product portfolios, is highly preferred.
Strong commercial acumen with solid analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach; comfortable with fast-paced, evolving environments.
Highly collaborative and independent, with a goal-oriented and self-motivated personality.
Globally minded and comfortable working across different cultural backgrounds and time zones.
Fluent in English and Japanese; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
