Senior Manager, Business Governance

What is the opportunity?

The Business Governance Senior Manager will maintain, improve and enhance our Fair Value Assessment framework and facilitate the Product Governance Process. You will identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness, while supporting the team in tracking and completing allocated actions.

Due to the recent acquisition and integration of Brewin Dolphin, you will also assist in the integration of legacy Brewin Dolphin and RBC Wealth Management UK (WMI-UK) fair value processes into the integrated RBC Wealth Management Europe (WME) future state.

What will you do?

Responsible for the Consumer Duty fair value assessment template and procedure as well as the fair value framework.

Complete Fair Value Assessments for those products within the scope of Consumer Duty or alternatively work with product owners supporting them to complete fair value assessments.

Critically review and challenge draft Fair Value Assessments prior to submission for approval to governance for a.

Work with line manager to implement new and improved processes, procedures and controls when weaknesses are identified or improved efficiency and effectiveness can be achieved, particularly through automated processes/controls/reporting.

Work with line manager and others to build and execute plans to improve and integrate Consumer Duty Fair Value Assessments.

Support in embedding Consumer Duty in the business and provide advice and support where necessary including building upon existing Consumer Duty governance framework.

Act as trusted adviser to business partners on fair value matters and more widely on Consumer Duty.

Keep abreast of regulatory developments and best practice and implement as necessary in conjunction with key stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Proven experience in financial services.

Knowledge and experience of Consumer Duty, particularly fair value and product and services outcomes in a wealth management firm or private bank.

Experience of producing and/or review Fair Value assessments in a wealth management or private banking environment.

Knowledge of financial planning, investment management and asset management an advantage

Risk awareness experience

Nice-to-have

Good Microsoft technical competency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Relevant professional qualifications, such as the CISI, IOC, CFA, ACA.
