Senior Manager, Business Management for Transportation - HYBRID
Job Description

The Senior Manager, Business Management for Transportation is a critically important role, enabling the Transportation Leadership team to transform and perform to achieve our business objectives. This leader will drive strategic initiatives, internal communications, and business operations for the Transportation team. This is a highly strategic and facilitative position that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active, behind-the-scenes role. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and an understanding of how to drive effectiveness and transformation at scale and who can serve as trusted counsel to the SVP of Transportation.

You’re a communications expert and adept at storytelling in varying mediums for both internal and external audiences. Lastly you have well-honed strategic and analytical skills to solve some of our most challenging problems. 

 

A day in the life.... 

Strategic Initiatives: Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives and provide thought leadership. This includes identifying issues that impede business group success and provide solutions/recommendations. 

Problem solving: Take on key business questions and drive to recommendations and execution. This includes the ability to source and collect data, analyze or build models to interpret data, and drive to action, including the creation of materials to drive cross-functional leadership teams to make decisions. 

Business Measurement: You will have accountability for tracking overall goals and KPIs for Transportation. This will include developing data and measurement standards, defining consistent measurement efforts that align to business outcomes and working with leaders to communicate progress. 

Communications: Drive internal communications strategy, events and initiatives. Work with key partners such as HR, Internal Communications, and business peers to deliver a communications plan with a heavy focus on strategic vision, priorities, change management, and employee engagement. 

Leadership Effectiveness: Participate as a valued member of the Transportation leadership team and provide input to key strategic decisions. Assess current meetings and decision-making forums and provide recommendations for increasing effectiveness and the appropriate sequence/cadence. Ensure preparation and agendas for Transportation meetings are understood, so that meetings are highly productive and follow-up/accountability measures are in place. 

Operating Cadence: Establishes and drives our operating rhythms and routines that connect the dots across the broader Transportation and Operations eco system. 

 

 

You own this if you have... 

A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience (e.g., strategy consulting, program management, supply chain operations/transportation leadership).  

Strong business acumen and demonstrated success in formulating strategy and guiding implementation. 

Effective at problem solving and driving complex multi-stakeholder processes and cross-team programs to desired results while managing risk. 

Demonstrated strong capability in verbal and written communications skills for a large, multi-discipline organization. 

Strong analytical ability and proficiency in telling the story through PowerPoint and/or whitepaper/narrative documents 

Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $126,500 - $210,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
