Job Description Summary:

We are looking for the right person to support the Category Advisor relationship with Sam’s Club for the world’s greatest beverage company, on our most important businesses.  This will be a person who, when taught the drivers of category growth (preferably the marketing mix is already understood), can apply next generation analytical approaches and technology to automate the well-known, discover the unknown, and translate their discoveries into pragmatic application.  We are looking to revolutionize a static and traditional industry and need someone with both capability and courage.   

A critical role for our company, this position is responsible for providing customer-centric, category-level guidance, thereby assuring Coca-Cola a position with our customer as an objective category consultant.  This role will specialize in leveraging trends and insights to uncover business opportunities which grow both category sales and our customer’s market share. 

This position is located in Rogers, AR. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Support and help strengthen the existing world class Category Advisory relationship Coca-Cola has with Sam’s Club beverage buyers and support team 

Provide beverage category expertise via engaging dialogue, data analytics and workflow management with customer 

Create, automate, and disseminate next generation business intelligence and weekly reports, informing customer business decisions 

Develop processes and tools which aid in identifying and delivering actionable, fact-based category recommendations 

Work with Space Management teams to develop valuable category recommendations 

 

Requirements: 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 

Experience creating disruptive innovation that streamlines processes and allows for focus on the work that matters most 

Proven expertise in leveraging diverse data sources (including retailer and customer data, shopper insights, and syndicated data) to craft compelling, fact-based narratives and actionable category recommendations. 

Proven history of innovation and continuous improvement in advanced analytics 

Expertise in analytical databases such as Walmart Luminate, Madrid, etc.   

Demonstrated bias toward leveraging latest technologies to modernize current category management practices 

Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and advanced analytical tools like Alteryx. 

Experience in JDA Space Planning, with JDA Planogram Generator experience preferred OR aptitude in Visual Studio, SQL, etc. programming 

Skilled translation and presentation of data, applied mathematics and reasoning into concise, pragmatic, and relevant stories easily understood 

Significant experience with syndicated data sources (Nielsen, Numerator, etc.) 

Collect, clean, aggregate, combine and maintain data to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis and reporting 

Minimum: 4+ years in Category Management, Sales, or related CPG role.

Pay Range:

$130,000 - $147,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
