Senior Manager, Commercial Training - Ophthalmology

The Sr. Manager, Ophthalmology, Market Access Training is responsible for developing, delivering and coordinating market access, specialty pharmacy, patient support, access programs, and reimbursement-specific training solutions. Training support includes all areas of Ophthalmology commercialization including reimbursement, marketing, market access strategy, patient services, and sales. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Commercial Training - Market Access.

A typical day might include:
• Creating and facilitating workshops for POA and other training meetings, using best-in-class means of training delivery including eLearning, self-study, computer-based training, audio/video, classroom, and experiential learning to ensure the relevant teams are trained to effectively and compliantly deliver the access and acquisition related attributes of our products and services
• Developing content for and facilitates new hire, Phase II, and advanced training
• Leadership and coordination of Regeneron Field reimbursement trainers
• Collaborating and aligning with medical, commercial operations, market access, and brand marketing to develop high-impact training
• Provide courses in such a way to stimulate and motivate attendees, utilizing a variety of media
• Monitoring the effectiveness of training programs through testing and metrics platforms, leveraging data to enhance the development and execution of ophthalmology market access training

• Ensuring all training is provided in accordance with company policies and procedures and are conducted in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Ensuring all developed materials are appropriately approved through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory process.
• Conducting field visits with field access specialists and reimbursement managers to keep abreast of current trends, to identify training opportunities

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work across multiple departments and create effective teams

​• Demonstrated mastery in presentation, facilitation, collaboration and influencing skills are required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational, planning, and project management skills are necessary
• Demonstrated mastery in oral and written technical communication as well as background with instructional design
• Demonstrates the Regeneron Way in the execution of all professional duties

• Responsible for developing training activities, including backgrounders and FAQs on payer landscape and pull through associated with promoting and executing brand strategies and tactics.


To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years related experience in specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales, reimbursement and market access roles preferred. 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech specialty field-based reimbursement & or payer account management preferred. Field based position & regular travel required.

Salary Range (annually)

$132,400.00 - $216,000.00
