Introduction
The Senior Manager Compensation And Benefits for EMEA will lead the strategic development and execution of the region's compensation, benefits, and incentive programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s global Total Rewards philosophy while addressing the specific needs of EMEA markets. This role is integral to maintaining competitive, equitable, and compliant rewards structures, and driving performance through well-designed incentive programs. The Manager will lead a team of four who are based in Leuven, and will be a part of a global team 12+ based in the US, APAC and LATAM.
This is a pivotal position for a highly analytical and culturally astute leader who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and excels at managing complex regional programs within a global framework for a US-based company.
Responsabilities:
Total Rewards Strategy & Global Collaboration
Champion the company’s global focus and is accountable for a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy tailored to the EMEA region, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation, benefits, and incentives while adhering to local regulations and global standards set by the company.
Partner and work closely with global teams and EMEA regional leaders to ensure the Total Rewards strategy is both globally consistent and locally relevant, facilitating collaboration and best practice sharing across regions.
Job Architecture
Manage job architecture and grading processes, ensuring roles are properly leveled and compensation structures are consistent with global standards set by Donaldson’s Global Career Framework methodology.
Lead and Leverage Mercer IPE methodology to ensure job evaluations are conducted with precision, fairness, and transparency, promoting consistency across the region.
Compensation & Benefits Management
Oversee the annual salary review process across the EMEA region, ensuring compensation packages remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with both regional market trends and the company’s global pay philosophy.
Oversee the incentive global framework and administration and regularly assess and refine cash incentive and sales incentive programs that drive performance and business results. Ensure these programs are motivating, competitive, and compliant with regional legal frameworks.
Oversee EMEA benefits programs including car allowance program, that meet the unique needs of EMEA employees while aligning with the company’s global benefits framework.
Provide advice on compensation and benefit packages, including base salary, incentives, benefit and car/mobility programs.
Monitor and respond to changes in EMEA labor laws, with a focus on ensuring continued compliance, particularly regarding pay transparency and equity.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Finance.
10+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, and Benefits, ideally within a global organization. Experience working for a US-based company is preferred.
Proven experience in the EMEA region, with strong knowledge of compensation regulations, labor laws, and benefits best practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in Mercer’s (or any equivalent) International Position Evaluation (IPE) methodology, including job evaluation and leveling across multiple geographies.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a strong asset.
