Senior Manager, Corporate Communications
Description and Requirements We are seeking a communications professional with strong knowledge and skills to strengthen the company’s reputation and awareness among external stakeholders. The Corporate Communications Senior Manager must work across strategy, execution, and measurement, from collaboration on strategy to developing compelling content, supporting executive thought leadership and visibility efforts, and conducting proactive media outreach. This role reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Design and implement external communications strategy and content aligned with Healthfirst’s business and reputational goalsDevelop and implement thought leadership strategies including traditional and non-traditional channelsBrings an outside-in approach to communications programming, regularly sharing ideas and observations on trends and developments that are relevant to Healthfirst.Create executive-ready content including but not limited to strategic recommendations; talking points; scripts for internal meetings and external events; briefing materialsCreates proactive recommendations and identifies topics and angles that are aligned with business and reputational goals, includes a strong rationale while balancing risk and rewardUnderstanding of earned and social media channels; works with the Media and Social Media teams to advance recommendations that will enhance reputation and elevate Healthfirst leadersCollaborate across Corporate Communications and Marketing organization, inspire confidence and build trust

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years professional experience in communications, including experience writing for senior leadersExceptional verbal and written communication skills and attention to detailProven understanding of how to develop strategy and content based on an audience-first, data-driven approachAbility to adhere to rules and regulations, particularly as they pertain to healthcare or other highly regulated businessesWork collaboratively with teams across the enterprise to develop and execute creative ideas, strategies and contentUnderstanding media and social media KPIs and ability to interpret data and analyticsLeadership/people management skills that inspire both creativity and productivitySelf-starter; ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; major in Communications, English, Marketing, Political Science, or JournalismStrong writing skills including experience writing for senior leadersCritical thinker and problem solverStaying up to date with the latest media and social trends and best practicesAbility to multitask, exceptional time management skillsSelf-motivated, with the ability to work in teams and build good working relationshipsFamiliarity and prior experience relevant or adjacent industries (e.g., health insurance, healthcare, pharma/biotech, government, academia)

Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $119,900 - $183,430

All Other Locations (within approved locations): $102,600 - $156,655

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
