Summary\r
We are looking for a senior manager, external communications with a focus on corporate strategies and media relations. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic external communications programs and media relations strategy. Collaborating closely with team members across Bell, you will drive communications programs that generate measurable results.
Key Responsibilities\rDevelop and execute comprehensive external communications plans to support key priorities and initiatives that enhance and protect the corporate reputation of Bell Develop media relations strategies; establish and maintain positive media relationships, act as a company spokesperson and be the first point of contact including some after-hours dutiesLead a team of 1-2 communications professionals while working closely with other Bell Communications team members on key initiativesSupport Bell executives with communications expertise and advise, including spokesperson preparationDevelop communications materials including press releases, key messages, briefing materials and backgroundersApply exceptional judgement to anticipate and effectively manage organizational risks and issuesStay up-to-date on evolving economic, political, regulatory and social issues that affect Bell’s business across the countryIdentify new opportunities and fresh ways to communicate about Bell to its audiencesMonitor and measure communications impact for key activitiesCritical Qualifications\r6-8 years of progressive experience in public relations / media relations Previous experience leading a small teamExperience in a complex, issues-driven organizationExceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of vehiclesDemonstrated success at driving effective external communications campaigns and programsCan apply strategic thinking to issues management and crisis commsAbility to juggle multiple projects and deliver quality communications with tight deadlinesExperience with a technology or telecoms company an asset
