The Senior Manager, Creative Direction is responsible for driving the creative direction and execution of ArcBest's internal and external marketing design projects. This position has an innate understanding of the balance between copy, design, and functionality and knows how to collaborate with designers, copywriters, video producers, business development, internal SMEs and marketing colleagues. The Senior Manager, Creative Direction is also a strong conceptual thinker who thrives on the energy of the logistics and transportation industry, easily shifting gears from one project to another. As a team leader, the Senior Manager, Creative Direction has a proven ability to manage a high-performing team and is confident making decisions while also being open and receptive to feedback, all while nurturing the talents of the team by acting as a coach, teacher, instructor, and critic simultaneously. The Senior Manager, Creative Direction leads the charge in video marketing strategies and oversees video advertising campaigns, working closely with the multimedia team and external vendors to produce engaging and impactful content. This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on involvement in content creation, ensuring ArcBest's marketing materials resonate with the target audience and drive measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Set creative direction for ArcBest to grow and reinforce the ArcBest brands.
* Other duties and projects, as assigned.
* Build and nurture a culture that fosters creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
* Provide brand guidance and direction to ensure consistent alignment with brand standards.
* Oversee the development of booths and tradeshow marketing materials, ensuring impactful designs and experiences that effectively represent the company's brand and objectives.
* Lead the production team responsible for printing or sourcing marketing materials, ensuring high-quality execution of internal promotions, sales collateral, and educational training materials that align with the company's brand standards.
* Provide creative leadership for the company store to ensure a curated selection quality merchandise that reflects and reinforces the company's brand identity.
* Exhibit outstanding creative judgment and guide internal and external creative teams in achieving the highest possible standards for all deliverables, regardless of medium.
* Lead the conceptualization, script development, storyboarding, production, and editing processes for marketing videos and video advertising campaigns.
* Deliver a broad range of best-in-class creative work across all channels, including branding, promotions, sales enablement, meetings/events, education, video marketing and advertising, and corporate communications.
* Provide creative team leadership, copy/design/video direction, and day-to-day team management for an internal distributed creative team.
Requirements:
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Graphic Arts, Film Production, or related field. Required
* Master's Degree in Fine Arts or equivalent professional certification. Preferred
Experience
* 10+ years of relevant work experience in creative direction, with a strong emphasis on video marketing and advertising in omni-channel support.
Computer Skills
* Demonstrates expertise and hands-on proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other video production software.
Additional Requirements
* Displays a strong foundational understanding of marketing trends in video and digital advertising across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and programmatic video ads.
* Exhibits the ability to lead and guide video production teams, including directing shoots, ensuring brand alignment, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Highly organized in content flow, video production timelines, and project/staff management, with the ability to handle tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
* Demonstrates proficiency in creating scripts and visual concepts for high-impact video campaigns.
* Proven ability to leverage analytics and insights to inform video content strategies.
* Celebrates team successes and fosters a safe, constructive environment for creative feedback.
* Strong digital, online, and video marketing experience, with a proven track record from initial concept to final execution.
* Excellent influencing and communication skills, including persuasive oral and written communication tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Agency experience or substantial in-house creative direction experience with a focus on video content desired.
* A robust understanding of brand development, video storytelling, and multichannel marketing concepts.
* Experience managing video projects from pre-production to post-production, including vendor and resource coordination.
* A strong understanding of video SEO, video engagement metrics, and the role of video in broader marketing strategies.
* Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration, team management, and project execution.
* Proven success in creating and executing innovative video campaigns that achieve measurable results.

Compensation:
* This is a salary position paid biweekly.
