Introduction

 

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Crushing R&D Program to join our Technology & Innovation team in business area Minerals. You will direct and have management responsibility for all required research and technology development activities related to the Crushing business line R&D program. Your role is crucial for the development and validation of new crushing technologies, which will contribute to delivering new and innovative products to our customers. In this position, you will report to the VP of Technology & Innovation.

 

This position can be located in either Brookfield, WI, USA or Münster, Germany, but we are pleased to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Travel for this position is expected to be around 30% to 35% on a global scale.

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team of technical leaders focused on the research and development of sustainable mineral processing technologies. We are currently developing and testing a range of new technologies that aim to improve the energy efficiency, water efficiency and overall performance of our customer’s operations. We work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in the implementation of our projects, and our team culture is all about getting it done together. The members in our team are located in Finland, Germany, Brazil, France, Sweden and USA.

 

What you’ll do

 

Defines requirements for engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and accounting departments for projects being managed directly (R&D program lead serving as Project Manager) Directs and supports project managers in the carrying out of projects being managed indirectly Contribution to planning and implementing BA R&D strategy, roadmaps, and portfolio related to assigned R&D program Reports project status, financial and schedule, in an accurate and timely fashion Keeps Product Group leaders and other stakeholders up-to-date on their projects Participates in technical decisions and coordination of technical details with stakeholders Coordinates with supply chain, market areas, test centers, customers, universities and vendors as required by the assigned projects Technical support for strategic sales cases and trouble-shooting for business-critical commissioning cases

 

Within Technology & Innovation

 

Works closely with Head of Technology & Innovation to maintain accurate reporting on project status Collaborates with engineers and researchers as needed for project support Supports Sustainability Program leader in analysis and reporting of sustainability metrics for assigned R&D program

 

Who you are

 

5 + years of experience within Engineering 5 + years of experience with Project Management Experience with crushing equipment technology
