We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics to lead a high-impact team responsible for driving insights, intelligence, and innovation across our business. This role will serve as the single point of contact for internal business stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of both short-term and long-term strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and technical expertise, be proficient in data visualization and cloud platforms, understand AI’s role in analytics, be skilled in vendor and program management, and have a strong background on executing/managing/prioritizing business priorities. In addition, this leader will oversee a team of ~10 individuals, fostering their growth while ensuring operational excellence across a diverse system landscape.

**How You'll Create Possibilities**
**Key Responsibilities**
**Business Partnership & Strategic Execution**
+ Serve as the single point of entry for key business stakeholders, helping execute their insights and intelligence (I&I) goals.
+ Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and improve business outcomes.
+ Define and execute the strategic roadmap for analytics and reporting tools while ensuring alignment with business needs.
**Program & Project Management**
+ Lead large-scale programs and projects, ensuring proper planning, resource/capacity management, and milestone tracking.
+ Identify risks and escalation points to drive resolution and keep initiatives on track.
+ Navigate GE Appliances' Digital Transformation (DT) processes, including security reviews, procurement, architecture boards, and governance standards.
**Technical & Platform Leadership**
+ Oversee and provide direction on a diverse system landscape, including:
+ Salesforce Tableau (On-Prem to Cloud Migration), Oracle OAC/OBIA, SAS, Looker, Power BI, Google Cloud (BigQuery).
+ Evaluate tool overlap and consolidation opportunities to drive efficiency and cost savings
+ Provide guidance on best practices for data visualization, analytics, and platform usage.
**AI & Emerging Technology Strategy**
+ Partner with stakeholders to explore and integrate AI-driven insights, leveraging platforms like Google Gemini, OpenAI, AgentForce, Oracle AI, CoPilot, and more.
+ Stay ahead of AI trends to advocate for innovation and forward-thinking analytics solutions.
**People Leadership & Talent Development**
+ Lead and develop a team of ~10 individuals, ensuring their growth, engagement, and career progression.
+ Provide coaching and mentorship to both early-career and senior employees.
+ Conduct quarterly performance conversations, enforce company policies, and collaborate with HR on talent development initiatives.
+ Create opportunities for interns and newer employees (DLDP participants) to gain hands-on experience.
**Financial & Vendor Management**
+ Monitor and track costs related to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.), enforce data retention policies, and drive cost optimization efforts.
+ Oversee technical debt reduction efforts, including application retirement, query optimization, and workflow automation.
+ Manage vendor relationships, supporting contract negotiations, SOW redlining, purchase orders, and invoicing.
+ Work closely with procurement teams to ensure vendor compliance and cost control.
**Operational Excellence & Governance**
+ Ensure system stability, scalability, and high availability by enforcing SLA adherence, problem management, and continuous improvement.
+ Lead change control processes to ensure proper documentation and risk mitigation.
+ Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and drive accountability.
**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
+ 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
+ 8+ years of direct people leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach and grow both junior and senior employees.
+ Hands-on experience and proficiency in:
+ Salesforce Tableau
+ Looker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
+ BigQuery and Data Lakes
+ Strong program and project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading large-scale initiatives.
+ Familiarity with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, CoPilot, and others, with the ability to navigate strategic AI discussions.
+ Vendor management experience, including contract negotiations, procurement, and invoicing oversight.
+ Strong financial stewardship skills, including cost tracking, cloud cost optimization, and ROI analysis.
+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, tailor messages for different audiences, and present ideas cohesively.
+ Proven ability to operate in gray areas, drive innovation, and lead change in evolving technology landscapes.
+ Understanding of SLA management, system stability, and IT governance best practices.
+ Meet (or exceed) SLA (Service Level Agreements) and return platforms to their normal operating standard if there is an outage or degradation
+ Work with MSP (Master Service Provider) and foster a healthy working relationship which is mutually beneficial to your team, the MSP contract, and upholds the service levels expected by the business.
+ Avid learner and stays current on industry trends and best practices.
+ Demonstrates initiative and acts proactively. Possesses the self-discipline to take actions before they are necessary, optimism towards achieving a positive outcome, and the competitiveness to translate a plan into action.
+ Proven ability to drive cross-functional, transformational changes that impact multiple functions while making the right business tradeoffs. Data-driven decision-making skills.
+ Strong ability to influence and guide executive-level leaders, reconcile and integrate competing interests.
+ Understands and operates at an enterprise-wide level; aligns priorities with broader goals, measures outcomes – metrics-driven, uses feedback to change as needed, evaluates alternatives, solutions-oriented, seeks alternatives and broad input; can see connections within complex issues.
+ Experience working with agile and DevOps teams that are spread across time zones and a mix of both employees and contractors.
+ Experience at the enterprise level leading a strategic digital transformational initiative
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have, But Not Required):
+ Master's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
+ Fifteen (15) years of prior relevant experience in roles of increasing responsibility within data engineering
+ 6 plus years of experience leading enterprise-level programs and has a reputation of driving change within the organization
+ Experience both with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Ability to leverage, fast track to deliver with a sense of urgency.
+ Analytics experience with large amounts of real-time data and methodologies for data mining and creating the valuable business decision.
+ Certifications in Tableau, Google Cloud, or PMP (Project Management Professional).
+ Experience with Oracle EBS, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow.
+ Familiarity with Master Services Provider (MSP) partnerships, particularly in supporting Tableau infrastructure.
