**What you'll be doing**
Join CIBC's Global Operations Risk Management, Data and AI Risk Team as the Senior Manager, Data and AI Risk Operations. The Senior Manager will provide second line risk oversight for Data and AI, which includes fulfilling CIBC’s second line of defense review and challenge of Data and AI risk under the Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation function; as well as managing Enterprise Risk Management Reporting for the Global Operational Risk Management (GORM) team. You will coordinate with stakeholders to assemble comprehensive reports, offering strategic risk assessments and commentary to ensure that risk reporting effectively communicates key information, supporting risk insights and executive decision-making. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to modernize risk reporting processes by leveraging your knowledge and skills in tools such as Microsoft 365, business process engineering, and robotic process automation (RPA). Your contributions will be vital in enhancing CIBC’s risk management framework and ensuring robust oversight of Data and AI risks.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Risk management -** Review operational practices, risk assessments, controls, deficiencies, and metrics to form an independent view of Data and AI risks. Identify, assess, and challenge potential Data and AI-related risks within CIBC’s risk appetite and tolerances. Perform independent assessments of business lines on activities such as projects, risk and controls self-assessments, and incidents. Generate impactful and insightful risk reporting suitable for presentation to senior leaders within CIBC.
+ **Strategic thinking and reporting -** Demonstrate strategic thinking by consolidating and analyzing risk reports to support executive management communication and decision-making. Manage and coordinate enterprise risk reporting activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of operational risk reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights necessary for comprehensive risk reports, analyzing risk metrics and trends to provide actionable insights that support informed decision-making processes.
+ **Data & AI risk program monitoring and reporting -** Demonstrate experience in managing project portfolios, with a strong emphasis on planning, prioritizing, and overseeing multiple projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
+ **Technical expertise -** Leverage your experience in data management and governance, artificial intelligence concepts, and project management to review risk assessments and controls. Drive positive risk management outcomes and ensure a solid understanding and experience working with the DCAM framework.
+ **Advisory -** Maintain an industry view of the broad operational risk landscape, understand best practices and performance benchmarks, and monitor emerging operational risk trends related to technology and data. Provide guidance on managing operational risk, including risk mitigation strategies.
+ **Collaboration -** Use strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and sustain strong internal relationships. Be a valued partner that offers sound guidance and demonstrates a deep understanding of their environment and context.
**Who you are**
+ **You have a background in risk management** and a solid understanding of data management, governance, artificial intelligence, and technology to evaluate risks and controls in business lines.
+ **You have experience** in leveraging the Microsoft 365 suite of tools, including advanced Excel for data analysis, Power BI for creating interactive dashboards, SharePoint for collaborative risk reporting, Power Automate for workflow automation, and OneNote for organizing insights, all aimed at enhancing and evolving risk reporting processes.
