Senior Manager, Deal Desk (EMEA and APAC)

**Position Summary:**
As part of the Account Advancement Operations group and reporting to the Director, Deal Desk, the Senior Manager, Deal Desk, executes the strategic direction for the Deal Desk organization and implements structures to support exploitation of the Bentley commercial model to the maximum advantage of both the company and the Accounts. Working in concert with the Senior Manager, Global Proposal Team, this position engages Regional Executives and Regional Directors to shape opportunities and guide Account behavior early in the Bentley Sales Process (BSP); develops common approaches for addressing predefined account populations (e.g., accounts with impending renewals, accounts with a certain level of brand uptake, accounts with a revenue greater than a defined amount); and devises and then supports Deal Desk Analysts in the application of innovative commercial structures to distinctly complex or irregular accounts/opportunities. The Senior Manager, Deal Desk, is also responsible for continuous refinement and tuning of the deal-review process in partnership with their peers in other regions to ensure globally consistent standards and approaches, from intake to back office, addressing non-standard requests with an impact on revenue as well as standard transactional requests. The position serves as the primary interface between Account Advancement and Financial Operations, providing bi-directional support and ensuring communications are clear and governance is observed. Establishing metrics for team and colleague performance, this role uses analytics to drive continuous improvement and greater revenue.
**Your Day-to-Day:**
+ Manage day-to-day operations of the EMEA and APAC Deal Desk teams, ensuring all Deal Desk cases are assigned and adjudicated in a timely manner.
+ Serve as the first point of contact for escalations in the EMEA and APAC regions.
+ Ensure Deal Desk outputs (e.g., escalations/approvals, opportunity approach recommendations, and program/campaign designs) are accurate, timely, executable, and compliant.
+ Provide guidance and coaching to Deal Desk Analysts to continuously develop their skills in crafting offers that align with Account Advancement Group and Corporate initiatives while also navigating a frictionless booking process.
+ Ensure commercial integrity (e.g., profitability, soundness of strategy of proposed concessions related to ultimate revenue increases overall) of all deals managed by Deal Desk in the region.
+ Become a trusted advisor to the EMEA and APAC Regional Executives, ensuring that Deal Desk is guiding Account Managers in accordance with the Bentley Sales Process and aligned with regional initiatives.
+ Build strong relationships with sales, finance, legal, and operations functions to facilitate seamless collaboration and alignment. Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote awareness of Deal Desk, its role and responsibilities, and the roles and responsibilities of its stakeholders.
+ In collaboration with regional peers, develop and implement best practices for Deal Desk operations, including standardized processes, tools, and templates. Continuously review and refine deal approval workflows to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times, and identify opportunities for automation and system enhancements to streamline Deal Desk activities.
+ Provide coaching and development opportunities for Deal Desk analysts to enhance their skills and performance and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Deal Desk team.
+ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
+ Identify and address training needs to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed.
**What You Bring to The Team:**
+ Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a Deal Desk function with at least 5 years in a management role.
+ Proven track record of successfully managing complex deal structures and the ability to create and convey succinct and accurate assessments of complex commercial arrangements to C-level stakeholders.
+ Strong understanding of pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and risk management practices combined with strong financial acumen and understanding of key business metrics and drivers.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional written and spoken English, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Proficiency in CRM and deal management systems, as well as advanced skills in Excel and other analytical tools (PowerBI).
+ Proven track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and demonstrated experience in driving data-driven operational efficiencies and improvements.
+ High attention to detail and is committed to accuracy and quality.
+ Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to develop colleagues and improve individual and team performance.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree an advantage.
