Senior Manager, Deep Learning - TAO Toolkit

The role involves architecting, building, and developing a team of System Software Engineers and applied scientists. They will focus on developing vision language models, multi-modal models, and applications for AI platforms. NVIDIA aims to use Artificial Intelligence to provide outstanding solutions for various industries such as manufacturing, public safety, traffic, parking management, robotics, and city services. What you’ll be doing:

You will be establishing and growing a software team that can architect, analyze, develop and prototype key deep learning initiatives with a focus on Vision Language and Multimodal models and computer vision pipelines.

Work closely with architecture and development teams that work on implementation of various applications that spans both computer vision-based pixel processing and data analytics

Work closely with build/release teams to resolve production issues and implement necessary integrations, continue to improve design, implementation, and preservation of systems and tools across the toolkit stack.

Partner with a multi-functional team including engineering, product, QA to improve development workflows, reduce bottlenecks, handle and minimize risks, and enhance software delivery speed and quality.

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners to set shared expectations and ensure visibility around the solution soave

Collaborate with diverse software, research, and hardware teams across geographies to analyze the interplay of hardware and software architectures to solve critical problems and future applications

What we need to see:

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

15+ overall years of meaningful lab and industry experience in Multi-Modal Models, VLMs, LLMs, Vision foundation models.

5+ years of leadership experience, leading a team of engineers and managers

Expertise/ knowledge in different Deep Learning Frameworks and Libraries like pyTorch, TensorFlow is crucial.

Strong mathematical foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Language Models will be helpful

Validated experience in managing large image and video datasets and the use of MLOps tools

Experience with containers and deployment automation tools such as Docker (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes

Strong programming skills in C++, CUDA, and scripting language (Python)

Experience working on building tools on top of AWS and Azure backends will be beneficial.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Proven experience in building and deploying AI solutions in production.

Experience with NVIDIA SDKs such as TensorRT, RAPIDS, CUDA, and CUDNN.

Experience in building teams and AI stacks from scratch ground up.

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
