What is the opportunity?

As a member of the WMC Communications team, the Senior Manager, Digital Communications, develops and executes the internal digital communications strategy. Overseeing the team that manages the firms intranet sites, the candidate will digitally distribute content to inform, enable and engage WMC employees and support RBC Wealth Management Canada’s business objectives.  The candidate is responsible for building and managing a high performance digital communications team and establishing an internal user experience centre of expertise.

What will you do?

Lead the team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firms intranet sites, ensuring consistent quality, adherence to WMC design standards and accessibility (AODA) compliance.

Develop and implement a content governance plan for our intranet sites, ensuring content is current, accurate and regularly updated to reflect the firm’s latest information.

Ensure website content is written and optimized for search, implementing effective SEO strategies to improve content discoverability.

Support business partners with their communication strategies by implementing best-in-class intranet solutions to ensure optimum communication outcomes. Create a user-oriented approach to content and page design while continuously looking for opportunities to improve the user experience.

Alongside the product owner, engage with the RBC Wealth Management digital development and design team on the strategic direction and development of the firm’s intranet sites.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

7+ years of strategic communications, intranet/internet management experience with an undergraduate degree/post-grad or equivalent in communications, english or related field 

Results-oriented, strategic thinker who has strong business acumen and a keen interest in digital communications, technology and innovation

Experienced enough to push boundaries and explore new digital tools, technologies and trends in order to improve upon the employee experience.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus in a large and global matrixed organization

Show a commitment to continual self-improvement in order to learn and stay current with emerging digital trends.

Experience with WordPress
