Senior Manager, Digital Payments

This is a role within the North American Payments team, responsible for defining and actively managing the Digital payments experience and capabilities across all channels. This role will lead cross-functional teams and payment/fintech vendors to build solutions that provide a consistent and frictionless customer experience, while minimizing fraud and eliminating payment related bottlenecks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with e-commerce, payment acceptance, technology development and project management.  Added bonus if the candidate has experience with petroleum payments.

Job Details:

Product Ownership:

Own the digital payments product roadmap and planning - identify the problems to be solved, define the desired customer experience, lead the execution strategy and oversee implementation. Responsible for defining payment features and managing the features backlog with a strong understanding of risk and internal capabilities needed to successfully deploy.

Partnerships and Vendor Management:

Manage and assess digital payment partnership capabilities, offerings, pricing, and terms for business needs and proactively identify opportunities for future payments optimization. Interpret business needs to identify potential new partners that support payments strategy and roadmap.

Pilots to Large Scale Implementation:

Drive key initiatives targeted at rationalizing digital payment costs, reducing fraud, and optimizing the digital customer experience. Function as the digital payments subject matter expert, while working with stakeholders to deliver the right solutions and strategies, with limited guidance.

Payments Operations:

Support day-to-day operations and continuous improvements of digital payment acceptance, security and experience. Manage escalations and resolve payment operational issues together with internal and external partners. Ensure compliance with payment regulations.

EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of experience in digital commerce deploying/maintaining payment solutions, driving innovation and working with emerging payments/technology, payments economics, networks, acquirers and vendorsStrong understanding of digital payment innovation landscape and market trends in the retail space and preferably in fuel retail/c-storeExperience from operating with a strong commercial mindsetSolving complex problems with implications across many functionsStrong ability and proven record of driving and implementing change: Structured, hands-on and focus on timely delivery.Engaging with stakeholders from varied organizational levels and functions - internally and externallyOperating in a culture executing towards lean principlesProven collaborator– able to get things done without formal authority or reporting relationships, working across functions, geographies and levels to make things happen

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the minimum requirement may be substituted.
